Jack Cunningham - Chief Executive - A1 Team Malaysia
Jack has a background in aircraft marketing, trading and finance and first became involved with motorsport with Brian Hart Ltd, the F1 engine builder and manufacturer. Subsequently he purchased Chamberlain Motorsport, the UK-based long distance racing team, which was rebranded as CMS in 2001 when the team were appointed to run the MG factory Le Mans programme. He became the team's first CEO when the team was founded in November 2004.

Julian Randles - Technical Director
Julian started his racing career in 1967 with Sid Taylor Racing and has worked for and with some of the greats of racing since then. He brings a wealth of experience to his role with A1 Team Malaysia.
Between 1968 and the 1980's Julian was a mechanic in sportscars, F5000 and F1. Moving into management in the 80's, Julian helped to set up Spice USA for the purpose of running the GM contract for the Pontiac GTP programme winning the Camel Light championship twice. In 1993, when Spice UK went bankrupt, Hugh Fuller and Julian bought the US part of the business securing, in 1995, a contract with Chrysler for the test and development of the Patriot turbine, electric, cryogenic natural gas-powered "dream". They also worked with Reynard to turn the Viper into a GT1 car with some success.
In 2001 Julian sold the business to Jeff Hazell as the basis for the Cadillac LeMans program and agreed to work as a consultant for the team before going into partial retirement in 2003.
In 2005 he was called back to assist with the establishment and operation of A1 Team Malaysia.

Tengku Djan Ley - Deputy Technical Director
Tengku Djan started his motorsport career with Porsche Motorsport Weissach, Germany where he worked on the first 911(996) GT3 project and was exposed to Porsche's 996 GT1 Le Mans programme. He then joined Lotus Engineering and helped develop the Lotus Elise Mk1, Elise Mk2 and various projects for Proton. Tengku Djan transferred to Lotus Engineering Malaysia where he supported Proton's various Ride & Handling programmes subsequently spearheading Proton's new motorsport division called R3 (Race-Rally-Research). R3 conducted styling and chassis development work for Proton production models and, more significantly, Tengku Djan was pivotal in their racing programme which resulted in R3's double Merdeka Millennium Endurance 12hr overall wins. R3 is also P2 category (2WD) national rally champions.
Tengku Djan is also a proficient pl race driver having competed successfully in various national and international sportscar race series. He is currently among the world's best 'Drift' drivers.

Alan Mugglestone - Chief Engineer, Technical Team
Alan Mugglestone originates from Gainsborough, South Yorkshire in the UK, and has a long and successful career in the sport, taking drivers to win over thirty five British, European and World titles. He grew up in the bike world, but was encouraged in to karting by his father. In 1982 he won the British Kart Grand Prix at Silverstone, and then in 1983 he drove in Formula Ford. After a season in Formula Ford Alan progressed in to Formula 3 and other racing formulae. Alan went on to complete his formal education and spent the next 20 years in motor racing working in virtually every formula. Alan has worked in Formula One and F3000, has set up various teams in Formula Renault and F3, and more recently worked in the Le Mans Series. Alan and A1 Team Malaysia's Chief Executive Jack Cunningham have worked together in the past, winning the FIA GT Privateer World Championship in 1999. Alan is the Chief Engineer as well as the 'lollipop man' during pit stops.

Michael Webb - Chief Mechanic
Michael has been involved in motorsport since 1982 and has raced all over the world. He has prepared and run 15 Le Mans 24 hour race cars. He was a key player in the 1999 Chrysler Viper team that won the FIA GT Privateers World Championship and the MG Le Mans programme in 2001/2. Michael is the Chief Mechanic and is the rear jack man during pit stops.

Martin Watkins - No. 1 Mechanic
Martin has had a mixed career in motorsport switching between driving, being a mechanic and engineering cars. Between 1990 and 1998 he drove periodically in Formula Renault and did some F3 testing in addition to running his own team. Martin is responsible for the left rear of the car and does the left rear tyre change in pit stops.

Tomy Mathen George - No. 2 Mechanic
Tomy has been involved in motorsport for over 15 years. He has experience in various disciplines of the industry from Quality Audit in Proton to preparing saloon race cars through his own automotive business. He is referred to in A1 Team Malaysia as the 'Gentle Giant'. Tomy is responsible for the right front of the car and does the right front corner during pitstops.

Lee Spiers - No. 2 Mechanic
Lee has a BTEC National Diploma in Motor Sport from Brooklands College, Weybridge, UK. He has been involved in several areas of motorsport including the design and build of a Le Mans Sports Car with Team Harrier Racing 2000/01, F3000 with Astromega and World Series by Renault 2005/06. Lee is an enthusiastic, conscientious team player and is known up and down the paddock for ALWAYS having a smile on his face. Lee is responsible for the left front of the car and does the left front tyre change during pit stops.

Marc Giannone - Data Engineer
Marc is French-American and married. He was born in New York, has a French father and American mother. He grew up in Portugal and speaks English, Portuguese, French and Spanish. Marc holds an MSc in Motorsport Engineering and Management from Cranfield University and a BEng Honours in Mechanical Engineering from Manchester University. Marc is the team's Data Engineer and assists the tyre change mechanics during pit stops.

Darren Bandy - Tyre Man
Darren has worked at Le Mans twice in recent years providing assistance to American LMP teams prior to getting involved with A1 Team Malaysia. He has completed two full seasons with A1 Team Malaysia. Darren is responsible for tyres and is the front jack man for pit stops.

Owen Leed - Commercial Director
Owen is a multi-disciplined marketer with 20 years experience in advertising/marketing services agencies including two successful new agency 'start ups'. He has global experience across many business sectors and industries and is responsible for the commercial portfolio of A1 Team Malaysia, including sourcing and management of commercial partners, and all aspects of marketing and PR for the team. Owen speaks Dutch as well as having a good working understanding of German, French and Spanish.

Azrai Razuan - Deputy Commercial Director
Azrai joined A1 Team Malaysia in early 2007 to assist in the commercial activities of the team. He brings with him a useful mix of technical and commercial experience. He manages media relations and key clients. He also managed fan relations when he was the team's Fanzone Manager.

Izan Radzuan - Office Manager
Izan joined A1 Team Malaysia in June 2008 to take up the responsibilities of managing the KL office. Her involvement spans all the administrative and logistical issues of ensuring the team is in the right place at the right time and she is closely involved with the key aspects of day-to-day commercial administration.

Mohammad Hafiz Abd Murat - Web Systems Manager/ Fanzone Manager
Hafiz joined the team in the middle of 2009 and is responsible for the management of web related affairs of the team. Coming from a diverse background that includes software development and animation production, Hafiz ensures that the team's exposure in cyberspace is properly managed.
